True Key Offline Mode

Jump to solution

How do you enable True Key Offline mode?

The desktop app used to give you the option of signing in Offline Mode when not connected to the internet.

Now the desktop app icon is apparently a url shotcut to True Key on the web and if you are not connected to the internet, there is a message that you need to connect to the internet.

I don't see an option to Sign On in Offline Mode?

Re: True Key Offline Mode

I had issues with True Key and a support agent advised me to remove the browser extension and add it back. This resulted in True Key requesting device confirmation by sending an email.

Unfortunately I have used True Key to generate all my passwords, as such I could not sign on to my email account as I could not even guess the alpha-numeric-ss password..

After waiting most of the day for the support escalation, I finally found an old laptop that I guess, would have had passwords saved in the browser. I used to do that for frequent logins such as email. But, I did not know if it had the most recent password as I regenerate and change on a 90 day basis. Also, it took a while to find a power adapter that would work.

I was finally able to power up and log into an email account from which I could request a password change to the one True Key was sending to.

After resetting password I was able to access the True Key device confirmation email.

True Key is now working Online and also Offline.

Hello @slolearner

Please let us know the browser TrueKey is installed. Can you try on a different browser and check if it shows the Offline mode when not connected to Internet?
