Same thing after uninstalling, I don't know why I haven't tried this before. To tell you the truth, now I am not so sure it is a McAfee issue. I will have to see what other things I did that time. Thank you for your help.

I can pass on one piece of information - I have Outlook 2007 on two different computers. Our main computer has all the e-mail accounts and even with the McAfee and Skype add-ins it takes about six seconds for everything to load.

Outlook 2007 on the other computer with no e-mail accounts took much longer, I'm guessing 20 seconds or more. I later added an extra e-mail account to that second computer and the start up time is now the same as my main computer.

I'm guessing Outlook really wants to 'see' an e-mail account and will spend some time looking for one even if it doesn't exist.
