McAfee Says I'm not being protected but I should be

McAfree says I'm not being protected but I should be.  When I click the fix button it says "one or more problems could not be fixed due to an error".  Under computer & Files and email and IM it says "Action REquired".  We are using VISTA on a PC with all windows updates.  We just began using McAfee after successfully using NOrton.  Our computer has something wrong with it now.  It will stop working and sometimes the mouse just stops working.  REally needing help.

Thank you

When you removed Norton how did you remove it ? Did you use the norton removal tool?

yes and you are fantastic!  I just read another post where you told the user to uninstall and reinstall McAfee and that is what I am doing now.  Almost finished reinstalling so that should fix the problem from what I understand?  I would love it if it were that simple!!

Good luck also ensure you have no other 3rd party scanners active this includes registered versions of adware and malwarebytes loading on startup.
