Installing Total Protection 9 to a 64-bit Vista system

My new computer uses the 64-bit version of Windows Vista. When I attempted to install the 2008 version of Total Protection I found that the installation cannot be done from the installation disk. The complete installation must be done via download from the Web. I'm on a dial-up connection and this simply will not work for me. I'm wondering if the same requirement exists for Total Protection 9. Can I install the program from the installation disk and then acquire any updates via download, or do I have to do the complete installation via download?

RE: Installing Total Protection 9 to a 64-bit Vista system

Early CD editions of the 2008 product required an online file for Vista of any type, but the 2009 product shouldn't require it.
