How to SHUT DOWN McA Security Center ????

Hello,
I have a problem with a quite old game getting startet. To be sure the source of that problem is not the McA Security Center, I wanted to shut it down, but that has been more difficult than it sounds. I tried to end the McA processes manually through the tast manager (disconnected from the web, of course) but after a few moments they start again.
Plz someone show me a way to shut it down....
Greetings

RE: How to SHUT DOWN McA Security Center ????

It's not as easy as it used to be, in the interests of Security I guess is the thinking behind that.

Double-click the taskbar "M" to open Security Center
Click Advance Menu (bottom left)
Click Configure (left)
Click Computer & Files (top left)

You can disable VirusScan in the right-hand module and tell it for how long to stay that way.

Click Internet & Network (top left)

You can disable Firewall in a similar manner, although I don't recommend that.

That should be all you need to disable for a game.

Security Center itself is merely the "vessel" that contains all the applications and can't be disabled.

The latest version of the security protection is actually designed to automatically throttle back for gaming.
