Net Guard

OK this may show that I do not know much about computers, but I would like to know which is the recommended way to have net guard. When I an in the settings that is an up arrow and a down arrow. When U click on the up it turns on several items and turns off several. Then when  U click on the down arrow it changes the one it just turned on to off and turns on the other items. Interesting it does not what which is best to use so U allow a 68 year old man to guess when I should choose?????¿¿

I have cancer and do not need this stress

thanks if anyone responds
