Moved to Quickclean.

It may not actually be installed.  Open the home page of SecurityCenter and click PC and Home Network Tools to expand

See if Quickclean is there and says 'Installed'.

If it says 'Available' click that and install it.

Some versions of SecuirtyCenter may not carry it if they are provided by 3rd parties such as your ISP, PC Maker etc.

Where do you get it from?

It is Installed.     It used to work.

I looked in Home network tools and it says it's still installed.

It came from my ISP--ATT. Its called:

AT&T INTERNET SECURITY SUITE

   Powered By McAfee

I have the disk Defragmenter running now. This is the only thing I have found that doesn't work on it.

I know it can sometimes take a while to open but that is strange.   You could try running the Virtual Technician to see if it fixes it, but sometimes that doesn't work in which I would call Technical Support via the link under Useful Links at the top of this page, it's a free call.

I have tried the Virtual Technician,  Twice,  It didn't pick it up.   I'll try the tech support then.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I have the same problem here on my Vista computer (On W7  Quick Clean is working fine).

The problem appeared this morning.Yesterday it was working.

When I click on QC button: nothing.

All other functions are OK.

I uninstalled (MCPR) then re-installed McAfee. No problem during installation but stil no Quick Clean!

I run Virtual Technician: all is OK.

I have seen that there is another post about this problem.

Ideas?

Regards

Hello,

I have found my solution here in another post about  this problem.

Yesterday I had  to reinitialize IE9 which was very slow. (It works fine now).

And then I have re-installed a Google plugin: "chrome frame".

This was the cause of my QC problem.

I have uninstalled it and recovered QC.

Better: I have re-install chrome frame and McAfee Quick Clean is now still working as before!!!
