Hi Allwyn
Thanks for getting back to me. Answers below
Do you know or used Volume Monitor Protector application?
I don't know or use the application. However the McAfee notification says it is a Medium Threat, a system application and says it is not possible to delete.
The notification does gives me two options to Disable or Force Stop. I have selected Disable, but later in the day I'll get another notification telling me I have another VolumeMonitorProtector threat. This continues every day. Selecting Force Stop has doesn't change anything either. So every day I'm getting this notification, multiple time sometimes per day.
Are you able to delete the application when you try to do it.
No
Please provide us screenshots if possible.
I can't at present.
Thanks for your help, do you have any ideas?
Mark
Sorry ... it's called VolumeMonitorProvider (not Protector).
Does anyone have an answer?

Hi Allwyn - any update or thoughts why VolumeMonitorProvider is a threat? I get it reported by McAfee everyday and, because its a system file, there's no option to remove it. Nothing happens if I click disable, it still comes back as a new threat next day.
Hi @Mark12345,
Sorry for the inconvenience, I have sent you a personal message. Kindly check and respond to it.

Hi, just received an email from Mcafee saying this problem was resolved, but it isn't, I'm still getting the same problem - please keep this problem open.
