Brief history of this issue. 3 Years ago in 2014 I had a device with McAfee Mobile Security installed on it. It was a d855 (You may know it as a LG G3). Android, of course. I sold the phone after wiping it clean with a hard reset.
3 Years later I have received alerts that the sim card has changed in the device, I am constantly receiving these alerts. I went on to test if some of the security features work and they do. I was able to take snap shots of the guy who has the device now, I was able to track his location and I was able to control the phone in it's entirety by way of locking, wiping etc. (none of which I did permanently)
I have since de-registered the device from my account.
I will bring this to a *High Level Support/Engineer's* attention.
Am assuming that Mobile Security App came Pre-installed on the LG G3. Please confirm if you verified presence of the App after you did a hard Reset.
I am unsure. But I am assuming you're going to tell me something about factory reset protection, right?
Yes. I have sent you a Private message. Please reply to proceed further.
