Like many here, I want a refund for an auto-renewal I did not want but I cannot use the one and only contact number supplied to lodge the request. It appears that the only way to initiate some level of communication about this is through this forum. Offering a refund but then making it virtually impossible to access that refund is not right (and is illegal in my home country).
I hope that I will get a response other than the regular please contact customer service response.

Please resend the private message. I am now using 3 different browsers to see whether it is the browser that determines whether I see the envelope icon or not.
Also note that if I go to the Support site it directs me to call a 1800 number that I cannot use because I am living overseas. Therefore, if I cannot see the private message, please provide an alternate means of communicating online. I am sure McAfee has the technology to do this 🙂
