Where is IP address FE80::1 coming from

Hi,

I am a domestic internet user. I have a LAN consisting of a wireless router, a laptop, two android TVs and two android mobile phones. I have Mcafee antivirus software running on my laptop.
I have been checking the Mcafee Security History log and see the message "Suspicious incoming network connection blocked". The Source IP address mentioned in most of the messages is "FE80::1" and they are being generated every few minutes!. I've tried to find out more information about this address and was informed it is a Link-Local address generated by the LAN. I don't mind Mcafee blocking these messages but is there something I can do to stop them being generated in the first place?

Thanks Mike

Hi @feldom

Please let us know the McAfee version that is installed on your device. FE80 pertaining to IPV6, kindly update us whether you have configured for IPV4 or IPV6 on all your devices.

Thanks & Regards
