McAfee is blocking access to my Kodak esp 5250 all-in-on scanner.

When I try to access security level settings McAfee turns off the firewall thus preventing my access.  I think I need to enter some exception in the firewall to allow connection with my scanner.  How do I get the firewall to stay on so I can do this?

Edited header for better display purposes and moved thread to Firewall 11 for better attention.
