Spam appearing in Inbox

I have had Mcafee for almost a year now, and use Outlook. I have not had any emails appear in my McAfee Anti Spam folder during this time. Recently, I have started to get a lot of emails marked as [SPAM] appear in my Inbox - shouldn't these be moved automatically into the Inbox?

I am using Outlook 2003 with sp3

Security Center 9.3
Virus Scan 13.3
Firewall 10.3
Anti Spam 10.3

I have the 'Spam protection is enabled' switched ON, and in the Advanced configuration
it says 'Put spam email in this folder' and has McAfee Anti-Spam folder set. Spam filter level is 'Medium (Recommended)'

Any help wouild be appreciated as this is very annoying.

RE: Spam appearing in Inbox

Open Outlook and see if the Anti-spam toolbar is visible.

In any case run a McAfee Virtual Technician and post the session id here

RE: Spam appearing in Inbox

I was reffering to the session id...

Any way open Outlook and then select help on the menu and then select about MS outlook option

Now click on the disabled items button and enable any MSK plug kind of dlls..and close the outlook and re-open it after 2 mins

RE: Spam appearing in Inbox

Hi,

Could you try these steps..

Open Outlook.
Click on Tools, then Options.
Click on the Other tab.
Click on the Advanced Options button.
Click the Add-In Manager.
Verify that the following services have a checkmark:

McAfee SpamKiller
McAfee SpamKiller Exchange Extensions

RE: Spam appearing in Inbox

Hi again Vinod

Just checked that and yes the first item is there, but not the McAfee SpamKiller Exchange Extensions.

I'm not linking to MSExchange BTW - just Outlook stand alone.

RE: Spam appearing in Inbox

Open SecurityCenter.
Click E-mail & IM.
Click Configure in the right pane.
In the Spam protection is enabled pane, click Advanced.
Click E-mail Toolbars in the left pane.
Verify a checkmark is present in the box beside the email client in which you want the toolbar to display.
If the toolbar is already checked in SpamKiller/Anti-Spam and the toolbar is not visible, see the appropriate solution below to re-register the specific plug-in DLL for your email client.

Note: This issue does not occur in Outlook Express or Windows Mail (The Microsoft Windows Vista version of Outlook Express).

Solution for Outlook
Close Outlook.
Click Start, Run, type CMD, and click OK.

Note: For Windows Vista users, you must open a command prompt with administrator privileges. Click Start, Find, type CMD, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.

Type CD %ProgramFiles%\McAfee\MSK (For Windows Vista 64-bit, use CD %programfiles(x86)%\McAfee\MSK) and press ENTER.
Type REGSVR32 MSKOLPLG.DLL and press ENTER.
Open Outlook.
