mc-wins-exe

Jump to solution

Hi. I have just purchased McAfee Total Protection and installed it on my 3 machines.

They ALL now suffer from a pop up box that say mc-wins-client.exe failed to start.

I searched for a solution and these ranged from going to microsoft store and running update to scanning my computers.

Is this a known issue and is there a solution.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Two of the computers run Windows 10 and mine runs Windows 11.

As for the version of McAfee I downloaded it and ran scans yesterday.

It is not yet causing a problem, just click No and it goes away.

Hi all.

I am currently on holiday so unable to check my systems.

As far as I am aware I have had no communication from McAfee.

I will update on my return.
