Zombie McAfee Ads Refuse to Die

Somebody gave me their Windows 11 machine bc they found they prefer the phone. I detest McAfee & Norton which came bundled originally I'm sure.  So when I uninstalled the McAfee app and then used the Microsoft McAfee removal tool as directed, and rebooted, almost the first thing I saw was another McAfee ad pestering me to upgrade to a paid version which I neither want nor need.  Can someone PLEASE tell me how to remove those pop-up ads w/o having to download Ad-Block Plus which I also don't want?  I'll bless your name forever if you do

Re: Zombie McAfee Ads Refuse to Die

Hi @TotalEejit ,

We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused, Kindly open Add or remove programs in control panel and double check if any Mcafee software listed in the programs list if so kindly uninstall from control panel and restart the computer . if the Mcafee application is not presented in the control panel check if any Mcafee traces present in C: and check for Mcafee folder in program files and program data and remove the files directly from the particular folder. if still the Mcafee popups are appearing on the screen by trying the above steps kindly share us the screen shot for the popup which you have received.
