VPN page says "I reached my max"?

I'm using LiveSafe for about 3 years now and never had a problem.

Yesterday I had to reinstall the OS on my Windows laptop. After I also installed McAfee LiveSafe again I got a message on the VPN page that says "I have reached my max, and that only 5 devices can be protected". But I never used McAfee LiveSafe on more than 3 devices.

On my McAfee online account where it lists all the protected devices it also shows only the 3 devices that I have protected. But the laptop where the VPN is not working, has now a yellow exclamation point on it and says that it is "inactive", and that I should run a software update, which I did, but nothing has changed. Still the VPN on my laptop says that "I have reached my max".

Can you guide me through the process of getting the VPN back on my laptop?

Thank you!
