Question about McAfee. I am not tech savvy.

I got a warning from McAfee (which was already downloaded on my 2 week old computer) that my virus protection expires soon. It then proceeds to say that "700,000 new malwares identified in one single day!" As I said, my computer is very new and I don't think I could have acquired a virus already. And I have been informed by my friends that McAfee is not the greatest antivirus software.

Is this just a scare tactic by McAfee? I am not tech savvy and I haven't gotten any kind of of antivirus software yet.

Re: Question about McAfee. I am not tech savvy.

Hello,

with your new computer you got probably a trial McAfee version with it.

this works normal for 30 days and after 2 weeks messages appear that your trial is ending shortly and offers reduction when buying if you should happy with it how it works to continue your subscription.

the message about 700+ malware is advertisement that on daily bases that many new malware is detected.

you could also have a look at;

www.mcafee.com

or contact support

hope this info helps you

greetings
