McUICnt.exe - Entry Point Not Found Message.

Hello,

I have recently updated my McAfee Live Safe app and this strange message appeared:

The procedure entry point BCryptHash could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee Security Scan\4.1.321\SecurityScanner.dll

(I can't seem to email Tech Support and I don't want to phone Customer Support).

We apologize for the inconvenience. It seems there were some issues while updating the app.
Kindly follow the below steps and the issue should be fixed

• Uninstall the McAfee software using McAfee Removal Tool (MCPR)
• Restart the device
• Reinstall McAfee (For reference you may follow the steps in McAfee article)

As a workaround kindly uninstall the free app McAfee Security scan plus to remove the pop up.

I tried your solution. I used the removal tool. Restarted. Reinstalled McAfee and it is still popping up and cannot be closed.

Now what?
