Framework host

Sine a week, when I try to open any folder in explorer on my computer (PC W10) it takes several seconds and the cursor goes in operation mode three times. The process that is active during that time is Mcafee Framework Host and it consumes about 30% of CPU power.

What does the Framework Host do when I open a local folder?

Exactly the same. WHY a DM... post the solution here so we can all get back to using our machines and not 100% cpu to McAfee Framework Host Service!!!

Re: Framework host

Having the same problem.

Windows 10 up to date with all updates, Mcafee up to date but this **bleep** tool just holds my system CPU at ransom

Don't hold your breath with Mcafee responding anytime soon. It took them more than 1 year to resolve the alert viewer not responding problem and even with that they took away the app internet access management.

Re: Framework host

I'm facing the same issue and moreover if it's a support community you have to post the answer public instead of sending private message

Re: Framework host

Hello, my laptop fan sounds very loud today. I've looked in Task Manager and I've noticed that Mcafee Framework Host is running at about 149%. Is this because of a scan in operation and if not what is the reason for it apparently overworking my laptop fan?

Re: Framework host

Hi,

This issue also is happening to me. My laptop is brand new and since Friday I got serious problems trying to us Google chrome. The fan gets mad and the laptop freeze with 100% of the CPU used.
