Cannot open on phone

I have downloaded the app. on my Android phone but when I click open, I just get a white screen with 'Just a moment' and a spinning wheel. Does anyone know why it will not open? I have a Hauwei Honor 9 Lite, EMUI version 9. I am trying to install Total Protection.

Also, I have tried the online chat on numerous occasions but when I click start chat nothing happens? I am expecting to get at least a wait time message, is this normal?

Thank you in advance for any advise.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please provide us the following information. 

  1. Have you downloaded the software from Google play store.
  2. Kindly provide us with screenshot.
  3. Also provide us the version of McAfee installed on the phone.

Thank you for responding. I'm afraid I am not very technical so don't know how to do a screen shot and send but I did download from Google store. I do have the Mcafee icon on my phone but when I click on it I just the the blank white screen and the 'Just a moment' message? It is version 6.3.0.106. I have just purchased the Total Protection which I am trying to renew, as far as I know I have last years on it as I have not been able to get my new purchase installed, unless it automatically updates once I had put the new activation code in for my laptop?

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. The version of McAfee mentioned in the above thread is 6.3. The latest version is 6.41. Kindly update McAfee to the latest version and update us the outcome.

Thank you. I have just checked again and it is now showing version 6.4.1.285  but I still cannot open the app? as my original question, when I click on the McAfee icon, I just get a white screen with 'Just a moment' and a spinning wheel. I didn't update the version as there is no option to update so it must have done it automatically?
