www.luckymag.com

I subscribe to this magazine and an article prompted interested readers to go to their site for more information.

Imagine my surprise when McAfee SiteAdvisor said this site had reports of a possible browswer exploit.

I was even more surprised when I tried to read the report for more info, and everything was green, no issues or comments.

Was this a false positive or did the site have a problem and it's been taken care of. I am appreciatative of SiteAdvisor's service, but this one has me cautious and confused.

RE: www.luckymag.com

Keep in mind that legitimate sites can at any time unwittingly display malicious ad's that use malicious code to exploit vulnerabilities in browsers and re-direct people to malicious sites. A lot lately seem to be re-directing to various fake scan sites that may in turn lead to users becoming infected with the likes of XPantivirus et al.

Just one example where an ad on Disney.fr re-directed to xponlinescanner.com:

All is OK now....it must have been a glitch in the servers. I'll mark this solved unless you have any more questions?

I'm still getting the same possible browser exploit response

When I tried to revisit the site.
