Doesn't Mcafee detect anything in these games?

I'm just curious why my antivirus comes up when Mcafee says the site is clean?

I just went to iwin and never experienced any problems. I can only assume that Avira Antivir (which is what I assume you are using for anti-virus) doesn't like something there.

I suggest that you download the free version of this anti-spyware tool:
http://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html and run a complete scan.

Also I suggest that you run an online safety scan:
http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm

If you have any further issues please post more information such as your operating system and service pack (if applicable) and any other McAfee products you are using.

Thank you, but it's not when I go to the site. It only comes up when I download a free game. I also signed up for their newsletter to get a free game (only that looked like a trial too with ads in it) and that caused antivir to go off also. When I opened up ie and when the game wasn't running that caused antivir to go off. IwinGamesHookIe.dll (I quarantined the file)

It's not the free version of antivir (it's the premium, I got a free 6 month license, which I may end up keeping). I'm sorry for bringing this to this forum. I just thought it was fair being that site advisor's policy is if a site contains a bad file that site is red, right? And I don't mind ads in the game, but it looks like this is loading itself in ie too so even when you're not playing the game it looks like it is still there.

Sorry for bringing this to this forum I just thought considering site advisor's policy and maybe Mcafee missed something. Thank you.

That's fine, but you should be talking to Antivir support as to why their application is perhaps erroneously detecting stuff. (Perhaps not of course).
Plus maybe contact Iwin Support and tell them that one or more of their downloads is suspect. I haven't read their terms of service but I would imagine that they don't guarantee anything.

Siteadvisor is not a malware detector, just a safe surfing tool. It is only concerned that the actual website will not cause harm to anyone.

Peter siteadvisor will tell you about dangerous downloads if there are any on the site or if they link to a bad site with bad stuff on it. That's how they rate the site.

You're probably right though they probably don't gaurantee anything. Thank you and have a great weekend.

It's possible that there is a bad download there, but of course it wont be caught until SiteAdvsor reveiews the website again, which I believe occurs at automatic intervals, so who knows, perhaps there will be a warning next time. Right now it says that the site has 679 green downloads.
I'll look into whether or not it's possible to have them review it earlier, I really am not sure it's possible.

Thank you Peter and have a great weekend and thanks for helping me. I saw that siteadvisor contact form, but I am not good at explaining things too well and I wouldn't know what to say. Maybe it's something that Mcafee doesn't detect yet or maybe it is a false positive, I don't know, but hopefully someone sees this from siteadvisor. It's the games under free games on www.iwin.com. All of them (I believe 73 of them) all of them I tried the antivirus came up (I didn't try to download all 73 of them, bu t the ones I did try the antivirus came up and told me there was something in the file so I'm assuming it will come up for all 73 of them).

Michelle, just out of interest I tried downloading one here and McAfee didn't detect anything. It's possible that Antivir is falsely detecting something.

Perhaps they have a place where you can submit files for analysis similarly to McAfee's Avert labs?
