turned off but still logging

In security center I have 'web' turned off to try and stop broswerhost.exe taking up 25% of my C drive.... deleted the log file, but it is still growing. I do not have either mcaffee webadvisor or webadvisor showing in control panel programs to be able to delete it.

How can I either move it to a different location (I only have a small ssd c drive, or stop it coming back after deleting it?  Any advice please?

Re: turned off but still logging

I think this removes mcafee completely?  I just want to stop the web advisor part that appears to cause the large file. I have the 'web' part (which I assume is the web advisor) turned off in secuirty center

The log file crows since it keeps adding this message:-

[ERR][20210914 17:07:41.110][PipeName.cpp@108]: Failed to open WebAdvisor registry key

Is it possible just to put back in a registry entry so it does not write the message - or does it mean that despite having it 'off' it is still active?

Or perhaps are you saying I need to complete uninstall and completely re-install mcafee?  I am running a Plusnet/BT version...

Thanks for any advice.
