site advisor working with ie7

I was wondering why site advisor was not working with internet explorer 7 and I even installed firefox. Tonight I went to tools on the internet explorer and clicked that and where it allows you to manage add ons I was able to enable site advisor. It was not working because it was disabled. I enabled it and it is working with internet explorer 7.

🙂

RE: site advisor working with ie7

It was nice to find out how to get site advisor to work with ie7 but mcafee security center was not able to stop the trojan that infected my computer. I used the Malicious Software Removal Tool but it could not remove it. I used the SmitFraud Fix also but it could not remove trojan. I put computer in recovery and did not lose any files. No one seems to be able to stop the trojans and viruses. I have a warranty with Hewlett-Packard and they said they could remove viruses. Any malware removers that work.

SiteAdvisor doesn't protect you from viruses. It only tells you if a website may be malicious.

If you need advice on protection against viruses/trojans/worms etc you will have to post a new thread in "Virus Discussions & Removal Assistance" along with much more information as follows:

Please include the following information:

What is your operating system, service pack and are you up to date with Microsoft update? There are two ways of checking this. Go to Start/Run and type in winver then click the Enter key. Or, right-click My Computer in the Start Menu or on your desktop (or Computer in Vista) and select Properties.
Post what it says.

What McAfee products do you have? If your taskbar icon is like this: - right-click it and go to each application "About" and post the details.
If it is like this: - double-click to open SecurityCenter and then click "View Details" or "About" at the lower right of the new window. Post the details from each module.
