site advisor reports

I recently took a closer look at some of the Mcafee’s site advisor reports. For those sites which M gives a green tick, I noticed 2 types of reports (when you click on the green tick) as follows:

  • (i )         We've tested this site and found it safe to use; and
  • (ii)           We tested this site and didn't find any significant problems (as in the case of microsoft.windowslive.com orlifehacker.com)

However, you cannot gain any insight, information or reason to explain the difference between these two types ofreports when you take a further look into the reports or why M classifies 1 site with report type (i ) as opposed to report type (ii).

Q1:  Can you please shed further  light on this?

Q2: Can you please confirm  if sites which have a report type 2 (eg lifehacker.com) can potentially cause malicious issues for you if you download these.
