Website is blacklisted

Jump to solution

Good afternoon.

My website (marscreek.com) is showing up on a blacklist according to https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/marscreek.com.

Please review and remove it from the blacklist.  I've had the domain for about a year now, not done much with it and this is the first time I've checked for the blacklist.  If there is an issue please let me know.  I have requested this once before and thought it was taken care of but either I was mistaken or it was blacklisted again.

Thanks very much!

Paul.

Thank you!  I just went through the process.  Nothing on the site right now but the default WordPress installation, so hope it gets fixed soon.

Still blacklisted.

Well, McAfee sets it to "Medium Risk Consumer Protection."

That effectively blacklists it for anyone running their software.

There's no reason for it to be on any list, no reason for the consumer protection rating, no reason not to respond to my multiple requests to change the rating.

I'm not able to proceed with any plans for the site until the rating is changed.

WebAdvisor website rating dispute resolution process

It doesn't work.  No change to the domain after multiple requests for review - 3 requests in November and 2 more requests in December.  Still shows as this:

http://www.marscreek.comCategorized URL- Consumer ProtectionMedium Risk

This "Medium Risk" rating causes anyone running McAfee to avoid the domain.  How am I going to put anything on my site if McAfee won't change it to "Low Risk?"  There's nothing but the default WordPress installation on it right now.  I've owned the domain for almost a year and it's clean.  Don't penalize me for whatever someone else did with it before me.  If McAfee won't respond to this request now, how do I know anything will happen later, when I pour time and money into developing the site???  Just to have some blind list call my site questionable???  And how credible is this "list" if it's not curated?

Can anyone at McAfee help me?
