Last week the WebAdvisor Green safety icon would appear only sometimes. Now it has stopped working all together. I use Firefox which says WebAdvisor is enabled. Solution?

The update has been rolled out already and the new WebAdvisor version is 8.1.0.436. The issue is fixed. and WebAdvisor shows annotations on all supported browsers.

have you tried a reinstall of Webadvisor in the meantime ?
if not you could try the following;
remove the extension in Chrome browser.
go to App and Features in Windows10 and remove Mcafee Webadvisor program and reboot the computer.
next step;
maybe this will fix the issue for Chrome.

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but it is still not working. Chrome and Livesafe both tell me it is on and working, but no annotations appeared yesterday.
I now have annotations on Safe Search after booting up this morning. I didn't restart after the last reinstall. I just shut down when it didn't work.

will do that for the 4th time this year. Every time McAfee makes changes to WebAdvisor I have to reinstall. Not very professional.I

I have this problem also with Firefox 83 and Windows10 Version 20H2 on my new laptop. I have uninstalled then installed Webadvisor several times without sucess. Yesterday it started working ok but today it is not working again. On my old laptop with Firefox 83 and Windows 7 Webadvisor is working ok as usual. Both are using the same version of Webadvisor 8.1.0.418 Could it be that Windows 10 is part of the problem?

We are sorry that the issue is still occurring. Please go to Web Advisor settings on the browser and change it to “Tell me if a search result is safe in any search engine”. Update the browser and re-launch Firefox.
