Slow Browsing in Firefox

Have never encountered this problem before.

SiteAdvisor 26.5
Firefox 2.0.0.10
WinXp Pro SP2

When using Google, all search entries load, but without the SiteAdvisor icons, it takes about 15-20 seconds for the icons to appear with the last 2-4 seconds causing a screen freeze. During the 'down time', no action can be taken (cannot use back button or close page). The screen freeze is evident in that the mouse cursor freezes in place. I have used SiteAdvisor in the past and although there has always been a 1-2 second pause (which I consider reasonable) before the icons load, it has never been like this.

Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Safe Connect VPN:  You will receive free, unlimited access to our VPN wireless on supported devices. Users not on auto-renewal have access to 500 MB/month of bandwidth.

  • Eligibility: McAfee® Identity Monitoring Service Essentials is available within active McAfee Total Protection and McAfee LiveSafe subscriptions with identity monitoring for up to 10 unique emails. Phone number monitoring is enabled upon activation of Automatic Renewal. Not all identity monitoring elements are available in all countries. See Product Terms of Service for more information.
