SiteAdvisor Verification

I am posting here because I was directed to this section from SiteAdvisor forum -- no support there.

Running a PC with XP pro, Serv pack 3.
McAfee security center v. 9.3, SiteAdvisor v.3
DSL Internet connection

I am having trouble getting my website recognized and verified by SiteAdvisor. I am a registered site adviser and trying to enter site owner comments. My site is built in AT&T personal web pages: http://home.att.net/~jj-townsend/wsb/html/view.cgi-home.html-.html. Domain name that points to that site is www.jjtownsend.com.

I get error messages about HTLM 401 being returned. I was able to get a file verified in the root directory using the AT&T issued URL, but for the home page your verification system is asking for a verification file name with slash (/) in it and AT&T will not take that since there is no such directory.

Will this ever work on AT&T Pers Web Pages? If so, what do I need to do?

RE: SiteAdvisor Verification

Moved this to the SiteAdvisor section from General Corporate.

No technicians patrol this section unfortunately, so I suggest you ask SiteAdvisor directly.

Here are a few links for FAQ's etc: http://www.siteadvisor.com/webmasters/index.html

Use the Feedback Form to contact them: http://www.siteadvisor.com/userfeedback.html

Or email them at: supportATsiteadvisor.com (link broken purposely to foil spambots, just substitute @ for AT)

By the way you said..

not sure what you mean by that. The Corporate forums would know even less about it. We help with technical questions regarding usage of these applications, not website matters.
