If at least I get a message saying SiteAdvisor is updating prior to getting messages about browser helper objects getting changed, I'd be a lot happier about the situation.
In the scheme of things, siteadvisor taking up an extra row on your toolbars is irritating, but not something that would stop me using the product. If you weigh the two up, ending up having your computer compromised by a dodgy website is far worse than having some screen real-estate taken up.
Thinking I'm experiencing a browser hijack attempt when SA updates itself is far more serious. As if I do what I normally do and block the changes, SA2.8/2.9 doesn't operate properly. If I get it and just think "ah, it's just SA updating" I might end up falling victim to an actual browser hijack.
