I have four domains, three of which are listed as Malicious. I submitted a ticket on November 13th, but it seems nothing is being done.
I understand McAfee is inundated with requests of this sort, as I've seen from the discussions, but mostly I just want to know why this happened, and if there's something I need to do through my hosting account to expedite resolving this issue.
I understand everyone's busy, but any help is appreciated.
The sites at issue are:
http://sundaysuccessseries.com
Thanks,
-Jason
We are told the best and fastest way to get this reviewed is to
It’s pretty straight-forward.
However, here are the steps:
10) If you created an Account (and logged in with it), a Ticket ID will be displayed, along with 3 options on when you will receive email (when the ticket isOpen, Reviewed, or Closed)
There have been several site owners who posted back this helped.
Thanks for the instructions, however, I implemented this strategy as well. It's been about a week, so we'll see what comes of it.
I do realize I'm being impatient, but as I said in my previous post, I mostly want to know "why" my sites are labeled as malicious. I would assume a service that labels things as malicous would have to provide a reason why it was labeled that way. I see absolutely zero justification as to why my sites are labled malicious, nor do I see any evidence as to what specifically triggered the label, or references to sources indicating any reason.
Through my own ignorant view, not knowing the inner-workings of this service, I would assume that if SiteAdvisor "scanned" a site and found any malware or a virus loaded into the public html file on a user's hosting account, that information would be known, and listed as a reason the site is flagged. I just want to know how my site ended up being labeled malicous and want this problem to be solved ASAP.
Brands are being damaged with zero justification, and Facebook is using this service as some kind of end-all-be-all of credibility as to the reputation of a domain. When no evidence is being provided, and the time it takes to undo a false alarm, you can see how it can be very frustrating for people. Not only do I want this undone, but I want answers as to how this happened, and how it can be avoided so it doesn't happen again.
Thank you
The "why" question rarely gets a full answer. I've investigated scores of sites and there's usually a reason, but the "official" explanation is whatever appears on the SiteAdvisor rating page and/or the TrustedSource page, and that can often be uninformative.
Taking one of your sites as an example, sundaysuccessseries is listed as "Malicious Site". That usually means malware, and that is often because the web server is running outdated software and so the server has been hacked. If that happens your own site may or may not be directly involved but is clearly At Risk.
See "SiteAdvisor rating Red or Yellow? Check versions of software on server" for some of the detail (that document needs constant updating, I've a feeling some of the 'latest versions' have been superseded).
There are other ways a site can be flagged. TrustedSource collects information and warnings in real-time; your Red rating probably came from there.
If I have time (right now a precious commodity) I'll investigate a little further. But all I (or anyone else here) can do is report on what can be found; we can't change a site rating, despite what some people seem to think.

I understand the limitations on your end, and appreciate your response and dedication to solving these problems. Despite the bombardment of dissatisfied users, what you do is appreciated.
Thanks again

@Hayton - It appears that someone has reviewed all three sites, however two are still labeled Malicious. Those two are http://jasonadkins.us, and http://livingmyowndream.com
The second had a redirect to a capture page for my business, that I've since removed, and the first is text displaying the word "testing". My intention is to use these to domains much like I use http://sundaysuccessseries.com, which is just a blog.
Seeing as these are all hosted on the same account, I don't think it's my host's software. I'm currently using CPanel 11.40.
Resubmitting the outstanding sites would seem redundant, as nothing has changed, save a redirect, so what other suggestions do you have?
Thanks Hayton (or whichever mod answers this)
