Site advisor pop up problem in Google chrome

The automated pop up has started to appear and stay on screen covering the link it was advising was ok and wont disappear when i move the mouse away from the area.

therefore if i am not intending to see if a site is ok and just scrolling the screen and my mouse pointer accidentally passes over an advisor indicator bubble

it still pops up and wont go away unless i refresh the current chorme window

its not just me as my mums pc which is also under my account  it happens on hers now too!

so if we are on facebook it is a pain in the butt!

it does this now n again and it really does become a blooming nuisance! so much so now i am having to ask why?

is it google chrome or an update from McAfee?

Re: Site advisor pop up problem in Google chrome

funnily enough today its stopped  so someone has done something to correct it

on chrome searches its fine Though now on facebook the popup is popping in a seemingly random place on screen sometimes nowhere near the indicator the mouse drags over.

each post with an indicator the pop up appears in the the same spot for that post.  sometimes is half off the bottom of the screen! (see next brackets comment)

take the mouse away it disappears... move the mouse back and the pop up appears in the same place.

(think ive worked it out that the further down the page your looking at posts on the further away the pop up appears so after a while of scrolling posts the pop up appears so far south of the post  its is off screen so looks like there is not one)

but it removes itself as soon as the mouse moves away form the site indicator. so i am not bothered. Im happy its fixed

if it happens again i will come back to you

Re: Site advisor pop up problem in Google chrome

I've seen this once or twice in Chrome. If I can replicate it I'll do some investigation, but it's a tricky one to try and debug so don't hold your breath

Re: Site advisor pop up problem in Google chrome

Yes, it's the SiteAdvisor pop-up box issue (again) and I'm seeing it in Chrome. As soon as the cursor passes over one of the SiteAdvisor rating marks on a page the popup box appears with a site summary - and then it sticks and can't be dismissed. It doesn't time out, moving the cursor so as to make it lose focus doesn't work, clicking on the X to close it doesn't work. It really is very annoying and it gets in the way.

Re: Site advisor pop up problem in Google chrome

Makes me wonder if it is (Browser Specific) ? As I have not seen such in Internet Explorer 11. Running Version/Build 4.0.3.233. Perhaps a Topic for Discussion next week?

,

If the issue arises again, please let us know as we have a member of the Web Advisor Team whom has been investigating a similar issue, however has of yet been able to reproduce.
