This started within the last couple of days. It has always been that Site Advisor would place a color coded icon next to the results in a search engine search. In the past 2-3 days , they have been missing. Those were quite useful in order to know if a site was OK or not before going there.
Anyone else having the same issue?

Tried what you suggested. Uninstalled SA and reinstalled from the installer for the newest version. Checked and the icons after search results were still missing. Ran MVT and it indicated that 20 files were missing. Uninstalled again and downloaded a fresh copy. Reinstalled and ran MVT. Again , it showed 20 files missing.
The version of McAfee that is running is Total Protection 11. That is what was on the backup CD I received about a year ago , even though I was using VirusScan Plus. Updating to the current version is out of the question as I am on dialup. The process would take at least 14-15 hours.
UPDATE: On a hunch , I uninstalled and reinstalled , but did the reinstall while online. Prior installs were all done offline. It worked and all is well.

Until some of our more knowledgeable forum members and Moderators can arrive to review your post and provide more assistance, would you please advise us as to the outcome of a previous post on this subject you appended to another member's post at the link shown below? Did you try contacting the SA staff/submitting a support ticket as Anand S. had recommended?

If it continues and the add-on is enabled in your browser(s) try first running the Virtual Technician to see if it will fix it.
If not try going to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program (Add or Remove in XP) and check McAfee for uninstallation.
A window should then appear asking if you want to uninstall all or just part - SiteAdvisor. Select just SiteAdvisor.
Then go to either your online account and do a custom installation of only SiteAdvisor or go to SiteAdvisor's website and download it again from there.
If, by any chance, you are running any registry cleaners, please stop. This is typical of the result.

Ya usually you can just update, sounds like a plugin issue. I have had this problem before on both Chrome and Firefox, simple update should usually do the trick.
I am having an issue getting my site http://senville.com to show that is safe & approved. Still working on this, but dont know if anyone else has had a similar issue?
