Site Ad pop up

For some reason, I am getting a pop up on my screen about every 90 seconds.  It is too fast to read totally but I think it is a Site

Advisor pop up.  It looks like it is trying to log on.  How do I stop it?

Re: Site Ad pop up

Hi realestate01 and welcome to the McAfee Community Forums!

Until some of our more knowledgeable forum members and Moderators can arrive to review your post, can you provide the following info please:

Are these popups occurring both on-line and off-line?  What browser are you presently using?

Regards,

Re: Site Ad pop up

1. Remove Site Advisor

  • Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs
  • Find Site Advisor and click "Change/Remove" and then remove.
  • If Site Advisor does not appear, find McAfee SecurityCenter (or whatever it is called - varies by location and package installed) and click "Change/Remove". A box will pop up asking which program you wish to remove. Select "Site Advisor" and click "Remove". DO NOT click on or select your main security program by mistake!!!!!

2. When Site Advisor has been removed, reboot.

3. Open McAfee SecurityCenter

  • Select Web and Email Protection
  • Select the link from SiteAdvisor LIVE (which should show as Uninstalled at this point) and download the latest version.
