We have probably opened a can of worms here and I wouldn't be surprised if this ability for anyone to join as a reviewer is taken away.

I don't think it's that simple. The filter blocks words sometimes and not others. They need to identify why some posts slip through and address that. Just stopping people from registering won't help if the forum has a vulnerability.

By the way , I suspect that the forum spamming problem is much more prolific than the smutty words problem.  E.g.,

Indeed, SiteAdvisor may soon need your attention focused upon questions from returning FoxFire users.  

I doubt if pharmalert will be having any holiday, either.  (Although Spamford Wallace has been arrested.)
