Then the filter must work!

Let me try to post a link that won't expire so rapidly:

Re: Profanity filter???

Well it depends what filter you are talking about.  This board has a filter on posted words, user names etc.   SiteAdvisor wouldn't normally act as a profanity filter or at least I doubt it would as that's not what it's looking for.

Those appear to be real website names as far as I can see.

Re: Profanity filter???

virus_boy has been inputting reviews since September 2009 and they look like bona-fide site reviews to me. He (it's a he, of course) just seems to be immature. There also, interestingly, seems to be a rudimentary profanity-filter operating to check what's being input, but it doesn't seem to be very good at catching some of his choicer comments.

Is this worth passing on to someone in McAfee for consideration?

On a second glance, I see what you mean.  He shouldn't be posting remarks like that at all.  Not too sure who to alert in this situation actually.  I'll email our usual contact Doug K and see what he thinks.

Thanks Notbuyingit for pointing it out.

An immaturity filter would be even more useful.

I got a notification that you posted a question.  In answer to that we have been told that reviews aren't deletable by anyone, so unfortunately we are stuck with them.   Someone should be speaking to that person though and I did email McAfee people regarding that.

Re: Profanity filter???

I am impatient to have the disgusting and inflammatory word fagg*ts removed from the SiteAdvisor reviews.  The only contact point that I have found is ethics.reporting@intel.com but it seems rather far from the scene.
