PAC files and Proxy settings

I am having problems getting SiteAdvisor to work on our machines both on and off LAN an to use IE settings.

On LAN IE uses a Proxy PAC file that Siteadvisor cannot use for proxy settings. So I have set the Proxy Manually in ePO. This works apart from routing all the siteadvisor traffic through one proxy which is not acceptable long term.

This also means that Site Advisor will not work off LAN when laptop users are at home which is where I really want to steer them to green sites and away from red.

Has Anyone else had problems like this and how did they overcome them please?

Using 2.5.0.6173 aka 1.5.0.146 with IE6 and 7.

Thanks,

Gazz.

Do you have WPAD turned on?

Automatically Detect Settings is off.

Thanks.

RE: PAC files and Proxy settings

There's your problem. SAE won't read a .pac unless WPAD is on.
