No ratings - SiteAdvisor

I have the free version of SiteAdvisor. (IE7-Vista Home Premium) It was working fine when I first booted, and then I did a Google search and noticed no ratings, looked up and seen the box on the toolbar was grayed out.

I went to manage add ons and everything ok there. I checked to make sure "Enable third party browser extensions" was checked.

I uninstalled using the McAfee unistall tool, rebooted, reinstalled. Still the same thing. I uninstalled using Add/Remove and reinstalled and still the same. In searching for answers I noticed the box in the toolbar was again green like it's supposed to be. Even though that would indicate it is now working, I did a search but no ratings show up.

Can anyone offer any help?

McAfee's servers have been breaking down for much of today so, as SA has to call home base for details about sites/links etc. it has been paralysed.

The situation should correct itself in time.

I'm using Internet Explorer 7.

You mentioned a sticky at the top of the forum that states what can be done in the meanwhile. I don't seem to find this sticky you are referring to.

  • Eligibility: McAfee® Identity Monitoring Service Essentials is available within active McAfee Total Protection and McAfee LiveSafe subscriptions with identity monitoring for up to 10 unique emails. Phone number monitoring is enabled upon activation of Automatic Renewal. Not all identity monitoring elements are available in all countries. See Product Terms of Service for more information. 
  • Your subscription is subject to our License Agreement and Privacy Notice. Product features may be added, changed or removed during the subscription term. Some features may require registration and a valid ID number to activate. See System Requirements for additional information.
