I just bought a brand new computer. I was doing a check of my installed Mcafee with the virtual technician.
It shows this
What gives? How can I be missing files when I just bought my computer?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I can give you an updated link to WebAdvisor download now too: McAfee WebAdvisor by Intel Security
What operating system is it and have you run any kind of registry cleaner or PC optimizers?
As the missing files appear to relate to WebAdvisor I moved this to that section.
Try this, go to your Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall WebAdvisor.
Reboot and reinstall from here: McAfee SiteAdvisor Software – Website Safety Ratings and Secure Search
It may give you an older version at first but after a restart you should be back to the latest version.
(The one you appear to have is later than the one I have).
It seems by your partial 'Screenshot' that this in regards to (Web Advisor). May I ask what Version /Build of McAfee Web Advisor you have installed? In addition was there a reason for running the McAfee Virtual Technician? Were you presented with issues?
As long as your McAfee User Interface is 'Green', and states 'Your computer is secure' you should be okay.
Regards,
CD
Ooops...I moved it from General Discussion back to WebAdvisor > Discussions.
As Colleague Ex_Brit stated...your Version/Build is more current than mine, which is ( Version/Build 4.0.2 128)
The operating system is Windows 10.
I have not run any registry cleaners. I just pulled it out of the box and set it up. With the exception of downloading Firefox (my browser) I haven't done anything. My computer is that new! It still smells like the factory. It still has the tags on it!!
As for the Mcafee it says

As for why I checked it I just wanted to see if the VT worked. I couldn't get it to work with my old Vista computer.
Other than following Ex_Brit's suggestions. If your 'Web Advisor" is not functioning correctly. You may need to (Enable) the extension. Which Peter could better explain,as he utilizes Firefox, and I utilize Internet Explorer 11, no issues.
All the Best,
CD
Just a heads up but recently I had an update installed. I then checked my McAfee with the VT and it said this.
So it looks like those files I was missing originally seem to be installed now.
I can give you an updated link to WebAdvisor download now too: McAfee WebAdvisor by Intel Security
Glad that all is okay now
All the BEST,
CD
