Starting an Internet Explorer McAffe warns me that 66.102.13.104 is a dangerous website. That is google.com
Why would it do that ?
www.google.com works for me but not same Ip. that Ip is google and does do as you say . Will point Hayton another mod more experienced in Site advisor here
No, this is a message from NetGuard, which I don't have so I can't really suggest anything.
I don't know the reason for this.
See http://www.mcafee.com/threat-intelligence/ip/default.aspx?ip=66.102.13.104
- and see also http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=google.com
When I input http://66.102.13.104 in either Firefox or IE I got a WOT (Web of Trust) red warning not to go there but when I did anyway it said it couldn't resolve the page. (click to enlarge)
It does belong to Google however:
So not too sure what to suggest other than possible spyware on the machine or bad cookies at least.
On 5-September-2011, malwaredomainlist.com reported malware at
hXXp://satsexpornoxxx.ru/ss11l/video/videos11.avi.exe
satsexpornoxxx.ru currently traces to IP 66.102.13.104
see
http://support.clean-mx.de/clean-mx/viruses.php?domain=satsexpornoxxx.ru
Virtually identical incidents may include
actionpornoxxxsexru.ru
berdpornoxxxsexru.ru
likelikesexpornoru.ru
etc.
Thank you.
then I do have some bad software on my PC. Any suggestions what to do to find and clean? McAfee Total Protection and malwarebytes didnt find anything
Since 66.102.13.104 is not google.com my thread heading was wrong. Is it possible to change that ?
system:
win 7, 64 bit on auto update
McAfee Total Protection on auto update
You can edit the thread header by clicking 'Edit Discussion' at the right of your first post, if the button is visible, not sure if you get it as I am a Moderator and see all buttons at all times.
You don't necessarily have malware, but you say Malwarebytes found nothing. Is this Malwarebytes Free edition? I ask because that's the only version I recommend with an antivirus such as McAfee. Try updating Malwarebytes and running it in Safe Mode. (Reached by tapping F8 while booting up).
There are some other free tools here: https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-2168 it's qwuite long so read down all of it.
Also you said that you have Windows 7, I hope that you mean Windows 7 SP1, if not there is help here: https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-2205
Hi,
As per my research, the IP 66.102.13.104 does belongs to Google.
But when I scanned the IP, I found the following results:
Possible Spam detected (multiple external links).
Details: http://sucuri.net/malware/entry/MW:SPAM:SEO
Description: Web site identified with Blackhat SEO Spam. This often means that it was hacked and the attackers inserted links to their own sites to increase their page rank on search engines.
Regards,
Google will fix this problem pretty fast if they know about it. I assume they do know about it?
Edit - PS, look again at the Google SafeBrowsing report in the post above.
