McAfee rated my site bad.. help !

Jump to solution

I started a website forum some days backhttp://www.ebraintricks.com, your Software siteadvisor rated it as bad with anyellow exclamation..Now people started not using it. I would get a quick explanation, what you find bad in mywebsite.??? I'm so frustrated with these how you could fix up rating a websiteon 3rd day without any traffics & hits. This is unfair, gonna affect my business moreover setting a bad image in front of our customers. Lookingforward your quick response to have it fixed.. !

It says "McAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential suspicious behavior on this site which may pose a security risk. Use with caution."

There are some helpful hints on what to do if you are site owner here:  https://community.mcafee.com/message/68874#68874

In particular note the section about McAfee's Trusted Source Web Reputation.

I moved this to the SiteAdvisor section for better attention by the way.

Perhaps the hosting service is the problem instead of the site.  When I query TrustedSouce, it currently reports an "Unverified" Web Reputation for new site ebraintricks.com.  However, its IP host 79.142.70.252 in the Nethelands has a "High Risk" Email Reputation.  I notice that ebraintricks.com uses google for its email services provider.

Congratulations on the speedy resolution of your site's reputation.  You may wish to mark this thread as Answered.  You may also wish to keep an eye on the SiteAdvisor report for a while to assure that it causes no more trouble.  Should you have the inclination, SiteAdvisor allows you to post a description of your site on the "front page" of the site report.
