McAfee WebAdvisor browserhost.exe file with 80 GB space

Hi,

I have a question about browserhost.exe file inside WebAdvisor catalogue of McAfee. This file contains 80 giga bytes space inside my C disk and now can i delete or do something with this file to earn some free space on my computer?

I searched some information about this but found no information about browserhost.exe if it is needed to my McAfee antivirus to work correctly?

Re: McAfee WebAdvisor browserhost.exe file with 80 GB space

I have the same issue. Mine had got to 82GB and my laptop storage was completely full so I was unable to use it. It is constantly being written to with things like this:
[ERR][20211014 12:16:20.418][PipeName.cpp@108]: Failed to open WebAdvisor registry key
Now I have found the file I can keep deleting the file but it would be better if it wasn't there as it reappears and grows constantly.
I have seen elsewhere that the solution is to uninstall and reinstall WebAdvisor but I can't see how to do this? I have tried to follow the instructions but I don't have it listed when I go into Programs and features/Uninstall a program. The only thing listed is McAfee Total Protection. Do I have to uninstall the whole thing and reinstall it??
