Hello all,
I have windows 7 and the site advisor is not working when I search via google, it used to.
I checked manage add ons and site advisor is enable there.
I also...via my mcafee, downloaded site advisor software and it is not showing in my programs in my control panel, I did shut down and reboot after trying this 2x now.
I think I must have clicked on something while searching and have picked up some nasties, what also is the best malware cleaning tool I can use ?
Am running MBAM now and I also am fairly certain I got some malware after going to download CCleaner update of all things.
Mysearchdial.com, buzzsearch, mobogenie , openit!, zipoperner packages and maybe
k 1 or 2 other things that should NOT be on my computer.
MBAM is still working, am up to 10 found and only about 1/2 way through and I had unistalled all the nasties I could readily detect in my programs via control panel.
Thanks if you can help with any/all these questions.
Get rid of the malware first. You already have MBAM so try Stinger and maybe AdwCleaner as well. See the last link in my signature below for links and hints.
Then simply reinstall SiteAdvisor over the top of itself by downloading it from http://www.siteadvisor.com/
Thanks Peter,
Have adwcleaner downloaded now and clicked on scan, is pending and tells me to uncheck elements I dont' want to remove.
I see nothing to " uncheck " but I see services, folders, files, shortcuts, registry, iE firefox and chrome.
Under all those ,
uncer services, I see complete name then Service name.
Not sure what to do .
If you aren't sure I wouldn't use it, exit from it. I wouild rely on Malwarebytes to find general malware as a supplement to McAfee.

I did a sys restore ( after the first adwcleaner try ) and tried adwcleaner again, now am getting warnings ( and not able to ) " go there" type issues.
Also Itried the site advisor link info. you left above, greatly appreciated but still is not working for me.
In any event, you are always a great help here and I thank you very much !
