Under McAfee directions you need to create a "blank file" with a coded name provided by McAffee that has puctuation as in ".com" and ".html" (see below)
My webhost does not allow puctuations in file names
Also, my website design software doesn't have an option to create a blank file, only import files. McAfee doesn't specify what type of file they are looking for.
Open Verification Requests
To prove you are authorized to represent a site, we ask you to place a specially named, blank file in your root Web directory. Once this file is created, click the "Verify" button to have our servers look for the file on your site. Please be sure that both your site and the verification file are publicly accessible

Yes, this question relates to Site Advisor.
Thank you!
Moved to SiteAdvisor for better attention. I also flagged it for a SiteAdvisor person to look in here, hopefully.

This thread is 2 years old - website verification goes on your own website, not someone else's....also please no personal information or outside images or links to same as per McAfee rules.
If you need help verifying your own site please start a new thread.
Locking this one.
