How to disable a green bubble?

Hi, I am new here. I  use McAfee Site Advisor  and I like it. The only problem I have is this:  the  green bubble pops up  on the screen informing me that the site is safe to use. Well,  it would be OK but this bubble blocks/stops my typing a message.  In fact  I was typing this very message for you, when it  popped up by itself  again and stopped my typing. Very annoying!!  I don't do a "blind" typing, I am looking at the keyboard when I type. It happens that I assume I typed a whole paragraph but  it turns out that all my typing is wasted,  just wasted   because of this bubble coming on.

How can I disable it?

Thank you for any help/tip  in advance.

Laura.

P.S. Unfortunately I can not attach an image to show because it will not let me capture it.

I am not a product expert but I have moved your thread to the SiteAdvisor area. Hopefully someone can help you soon.

Re: How to disable a green bubble?

I found the version:

SiteAdvisor software version check

You are running version 2.9.0.258.

You are already using the latest version. There is no need to upgrade or re-install.

Re: How to disable a green bubble?

Hi,
Try running mcafee virtual technican from the following link http://mvt.mcafee.com and post me with the session id so that I could review the files permissions of your siteadvisor and update you .

Re: How to disable a green bubble?

Hi,

McAfee Site Advisor should not be showing the balloon on every website instead when we hover the mouse on SA tool bar.

You can try to open internet explorer properties and disable all the Add-ons.

Close the IE and reopen it and enable only McAfee Add-ons.

Check if the issue is resolved or not.

Else click on the down arrow on SA the toolbar and select upgrade to new version and install SA version 3.0

Let me know the status.
