Grey dot appears in SiteAdvisor icon

When I use one website with Firefox I see a grey dot appear in the SiteAdvisor icon in the Firefox Add-on bar.

Before the dot:  SiteAdvisor - 2012_0711a - no dot.jpg

The dot:  SiteAdvisor - 2012_0711b - dot appears.jpg

If I disable SiteAdvisor the dot doesn't appear when using the website, and in the screenshot showing the dot you can also see that the arrow for the SiteAdvisor options has been pushed off the window, so this does appear to be something related to SiteAdvisor.  However, when I set up Firefox and SiteAdvisor in Windows 8 Release Preview I can't reproduce the grey dot when using this website.

SiteAdvisor is v3.5.0.227 and Firefox is v14.0.1.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?  Is it possible to clear any SiteAdvisor cache or other data that might be causing this problem?
