RE: Getting Site Retested II

Just because this thread has been going only since March 22 doesn't mean the problem is not long-standing. World War 11 broke out in September 1939 but the problem had existed for sdeveral years beforehand. As for SA, I have been trying to get action via the site owner's comments for close to a year - always without response from McAfee. It is only in the past few weeks that I stumbled across this forum - in desperation. If we use the link to McAfee head office what are the chances of a reply other than an automated one?

I would hope that they would contact you personally. I have no idea having never contacted them.

Re: WWll: I lived through that and the German bombed my hometown flat....thanks for the reminder.

RE: Getting Site Retested II

Hello Ex_Brit.

Yes you are only the messengers, so why aren't the real support team addressing these issues rather than hiding behind unpaid volunteers? And yes this thread has only been going since 22 March but my support requests have been going on since September 2007, and TonyB says a year or more for his, and still no responses!

I came into the forum as a last resort, out of sheer frustration, but as there were proper procedures for contacting SiteAdvisor, i didn't really expect any luck here. And those initial responses to my post were to go back and use the proper forms as i expected.

As yet there hasn't been anything from the forum other than more of the same, which is excuses and delays. Not your fault directly of course, but you guys have voluntarily agreed to take care of forum threads so you expect to take the brunt of these complaints right? Alternatively, you could request a member of the 'paid' team come in here and take over, but then again, 'requests' are not something McAfee seems to take much notice of...

I wonder what's in it for you moderators. I mean, do you feel proud to be part of the McAfee SiteAdvisor team. What is it that you enjoy so much about the product and the people you care so much about?

I'm certainly not going to apologise for being disgruntled about the damage that's being done to my online project...

Ok, enough said. I am first going to contact McAfee HO and direct them to this thread, and then take if from there.

Cheers

I've given it a go with an email to the head of ciorporate responsibility - which sounded like a good place to start as that seems to be the very thing that is lacking!

I, too, lived through WW2 and am now recording memories of those days for an autobiography. happy

Thank you for contacting McAfee. I have forwarded this to an escalation team to investigate.
This is the reply I have just received from McAfee's Manager of Corporate Responsibility in response to an email sent 30 minutes ago!. Maybe there is life in the hereafter.:)

Has anyone here heard from anybody real yet? I got an automated email from HO informing me my mail had been received a couple of days back, but nothing human as yet?

Cheers

RE: Getting Site Retested II

Yes, there are real people at McAfee. I have today received the following email. Progress at last, after almost a year of going through the "normal" channels. Maybe everyone else should contact Kimberly and talk to him about Customer Relationships.:)

I've reviewed your site and the rating, which appears to me to be incorrect. I've sent a request to my Site Advisor contact asking for his help to resolve this for you. He may contact you directly. As soon as I've heard from him, I'll contact you.

Kind regards,

RE: Getting Site Retested II

I don't want to sound like a wet blanket but publishing the private email of someone who provided you with help may effectively cut off that avenue for others as one person obviously could not handle every single complaint that there is now and probably will be in the future not just from this thread but just about every other one on the board.
So I removed it.
