Ok....here's the info on the "Removal" tool.  I am presuming that you have not used this yet?  This should help to "clean" those resdual files.  There are instructions, I hope this helps.

Also. a quick question...Are you getting a new serial number each time you install McAfee?  You should be...just checking.

Thanks!!! I'll try it. I haven't been looking at serial numbers... Does it matter??

It does not matter as long as you're privded with a NEW serial number.  If you DO NOT get a new serial number upon reinstallation, then it means that McAfee will most likely be installed incorrectly.
