Firefox WebAdvisor Addon - strange menu entries?!

Jump to solution

Hello together,

when I look in the menu of the Firefox WebAdvisor Addon there are strange entries in it, which when I click on it, nothing happens... Like "buy WebAdvisor" or somehting like that...

And why should I buy the WebAdvisor, when I already have McAfee All Access installed?! Strange....

Is this at your PCs too?!

Thanks

On my machine, the menu list has eventually returned to normal, with two entries only:

Btw: There seem to be two standards for displaying the version number of WebAdvisor which have been mutually used in this thread. One version number is accessible from the WebAdvisor menu by selecting 'Options>About', the other number is accessible from the Firefox menu by selecting 'Add-ons>McAfee WebAdvisor (see more)'. Current versions here are:

I will bring this up as a Topic of discussion on our Conference Call this afternoon.

As you can see I have indeed brought it up as a discussion.

Just translated that rubbish you have there. Exactly what did you click on to show that? The Black down arrow? Seems so. WA is free with suite and without so will have to email the WA lead tech and ask his thoughts

Who did you get the suite off? Direct from Mcafee or via a partner ie ISP Dell etc?

Just heard back from Senior Level Technician/Engineer, the Web Advisor Team are aware of this and investigating.

That's from your Yahoo Toolbar I think as it mentions SiteAdvisor Plus which is ancient history.

Click to the right of your WA icon and select Options then About and post your version number please.

It's either the above or you have a very old version of the software.
