Usually that reveals no change in the Verision, until one has restarted to complete the installation. I am still showing 3.6.6.121. I guess if it indeed does remove the "Secure Search Bar", I have as an added layer of protection set in my Parental Controls to (Block) Malicious Sites as well.
Which works along side of the layers of protection.
Just saying, I have never had any problem with it being there.
Thanks Peter
BTW...Congratulations on your (10) years of "Dedicated Service" offering invaluable advice and Guidance, to myself and mutitudes of others. It is sincerely appreciated by this individual, and I am certain others share the same sentiments.
My apologies, for getting off Topic. However, in this case felt compelled to do so.

Thank you Ex_Brit. When I receive the New Version, should their be any. I will appropiately do so.
Regards,
3.7 release is staggered so one never knows when it will arrive.
How do we roll back to the previous version of SA?
I have an addon that lets me keep SA at the botton where it used to be. I don't want that stupid icon nonsense at the top where it is now, but somehow SA forced the update even after I declined it.
Any idea how I can revert to the older version?
You can't. If you could even find an old version to download it would immediately upgrade - those updates can't be stopped..
The new smaller icon occupies hardly any real estate and can't be moved in Firefox. That's because FF29 and up have no add-on bar at the bottom unless you use certain add-ons to restore it.
The developers can't make something dependent on another 3rd party add-on.
If you don't like it then you can either disable it or uninstall it. If it's part of a suite then go to uninstall the suite and it should ask what components you want to go.
We have asked them to look into making it movable and they are looking into that but no timeline given.

Uninstall it is. The amount of 'real estate' is irrelevant to be honest, and a poor argument for not giving us an option to simply remove it like others can be. The Devs could just as easily provided an alternative in the Tools menu rather than implement a button that cannot be taken off the bar, with the argument of 'like it or leave it.'
When you get enough developers thinking "oh, it's not that big", the toolbars become cluttered and busy. I prefer not to have the clutter, especially when it's a toolbar item I rarely interact with.

Hi Valethar,
Maybe the Developers at Intel / McAfee haven't thought about it, but the Developers at Mozilla FireFox has. Once you have installed McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.7.0.190 and Enable it in FireFox, but decided that you don't want it enabled, simply click on the 3 Black Horizonal Bars, then click on Add-ons, or if you use the Menu Bar, click on Tools then click Add-ons. Click on Extensions, then highlight McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.7.0, then click on Disable.. Restart FireFox 30.0. Gone from Firefox, but still available in Internet Explorer.
Of course, I like the location of SiteAdvisor in FireFox. Many things I don't like about parts of McAfee, but the SiteAdvisor isn't one of them.
As I stated, disable it , it's very simple. Apart from it being immovable its controls are exactly the same as any other similar add-on I've used.
